About the Young Artist Program

The Education Division of Chamber Music | OC is anchored by the Young Artist Program, the only full-scholarship program of its kind in Southern California. Open to exceptionally talented musicians between the ages of 12 and 18, the program provides a unique and comprehensive musical education that features chamber music coachings and performance classes, musicianship and eurhythmics workshops, career development seminars, participation in monthly guest artist master classes, and community outreach performances. The program operates on the calendar corresponding with the standard academic year, September through June. Participants explore one or more assigned works of chamber music throughout the year culminating in an end-of-the year performance as part of the Rising Stars Recital Series. All Young Artist Program activities take place on the campus of University of California, Irvine.
